To finish the weekend of I spent most of Monday crafting with Neil Walker of Neelz Expressionz, talking all things craft and making a little canvas each.I took a couple of my stamp folders over and we ended up using images from the others collection, Mine started well and then went belly up for a bit, managed to get it back to a point where I can finish it off, Neil on the other hand went in like a pro and made the fab canvas which you can see below and he very kindly gave to me at the end of the day. Thanks for stopping by,I will try to get to as many people as I can, at least the peoples who's blog ends in the same number as mine.
Did also mean to say Happy 4th July to the American readers xx

Hi Mark, I spy a lovely inky splodge on your desk. Sounds like you've been having great old time meeting up with all those crafty folk and a fellow WOYWWer, Neil, too. Your canvases look great. Happy WOYWW, Elizabeth #85

Hi Mark, what a great long weekend you had, I have a few CI stamps but would love to see Jean in action, she has such a creative mind. Neil's canvas is lovely but I like yours to, it has a sense of mystery about it - can't think of a better word, but I like it very much. Anne x #49

ReplyDeleteWhat are you up to in that pallet dish thing, apart from loving how lovely and deep it is - are you dying something?
That's one delightfully messy and creative desk this week. Love seeing all the piles of stuff ready and waiting!

ReplyDeleteHi, Mark! It looks and sounds like you've been quite busy! I was curious about your distress ink holder on your desk. Did you make it or was it store bought? If you made it yourself I'd be interested in the dimensions so I could try to make my own. I'm forever trying to find a better way to organize my inks. Thanks! Lady B

Wow - you had a great week so far! Learning new stuff to amaze us - I am so jealous. I live in the boondocks and there are no cool craft places or classes around here. I love to see what you have been up to though. How great your friend gifted you his creation to sit in your creative space. Hope the rest of your week goes just as well and you have a wonderful weekend!!! I am trying to think of something wonderful to come up with for the HDH challenge that could even remotely compare to yours! I am still trying to think of just the right vile thing to use....
ReplyDeleteHow nice that you and Neil get to create together. Love the canvas and the beautiful tag you sent to Mel!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a blast and a very inspiring an great time with Neil.
ReplyDeleteLove the canvas. I'm excited to see yours finished ...

Sounds like you had a great time at the craft barn. I just had a peek at everything via Andy Skinner's blog. So even though I am thousands of miles away I know exactly what you were all doing!!! Weird. I am really enjoying Andy's tutorials and I am quite amazed at the effects that even I can achieve. Still thinking what I am going to create at the end. Love the canvas you are working on and Neil's (well what can I say his stuff is always fab. Lucky you to be able to take it home.

...hi it's me again...no you've not missed anything, it's on my sidebar though and has only been 3 months or so...also your followers Emma & Kath are on the same team too...you'll be snapped up Mark!, think of who you'd like to design for and aim for them, Stampotique, who's stamps you have used (I think) have put out a DT call check out their blog for info...Mel :)
ReplyDeleteSounds like you've been having a great crafty time! Your desk is looking nice and inky! looks like you've been having fun :o) April #88
ReplyDeleteHi Mark! I've been looking at the stuff on your blog post this time and the Haunted House one before this one...oh my gosh!!! I love them! Your work is just awesome! I wanted to thank you for leaving such a nice comment on my blog. I am like you in that the bright colors and sort of "cute" stamps of Dyan's are really not in my comfort zone but they are fun and sort of challenging to me. I'm more of the grunge, darker colors, aged type of style. But, I guess every now and then it's good to break out, huh?
ReplyDeleteYour pieces are just amazing! I love the project you've been working on with Neil! Love it! <3 Candy
Very interesting stuff going on on your desk this week mark!! I really had hoped to make it to the Craft Barn extravaganza this year but was just too bushed after a long week at work. Aah, maybe next year! Thanks for popping in to see me this week, Cindy #69
ReplyDeleteThat sounded like a great workshop, would love to go to something like that. I've seen those stamped images on Neils canvas, I love them. You're doing some fantastic stuff! barb
ReplyDeleteWhoa! What spilled on your table?! The workshop sounds like a whole LOTTA fun! :^ patsy
ReplyDeleteHey Mark! Did you see the brag post I did earlier last week for your ATC? I also meant to send you a personal email but, um, last week had a holiday in it, see...and I ate cake. :) Has nothing to do with blogging or email but it was good and it distracted me, see? lol Anyways, really *really* was super impressed with your ATC's. Totally going to see if I can use that plastic over technique on a card! This week, since I ran out of time last week.(Imitation being the highest form of flattery, right?) And I don't know what a tando clock is but I'm going to google it because if you've been crafting on it it's probably pretty cool, huh? :)
ReplyDeleteHave a good one and make sure you check out your brag on my blog!
Deeyll #140
I like your work.
