Speshink DT Neil. Gypsy Rose Journal Page.

Is it Monday yet?
Of course it is and that means I get to share with you another amazing creation from one of my Desin Team Members.
Today we have Neil sharing a beautiful journal page with a doodled Gypsy Rose. I love how delicate she looks. xx
I hope you enjoy it as much as I do xx.

Neil Walker.

Good morning everyone.
I trust that this finds you all well.
This morning sees my first post as part of the Mark Gould Design Team. This morning is a fairly simple project as I am just warming up.....

It's all very exciting to see how Mark's creative journey has grown from the time I first met him in one of my classes all those years ago and I am loving his stamp range.

For my first project I have used Gypsy Rose as the focus point of this journal page.  At the moment my life is in the process of some pretty dramatic changes and in the midst of the busyness and stuff happening (as reflected in the background) I need to remind myself to dream......
The background was made with a selection of masks, Inks etc and a random assortment of stamps. Lots of circles.....

I love pen and ink work, just doodling, Zentangle, taking a line for a walk, whatever you want to call it lol and these stamps are perfect for this. I stamped the images onto card and carry them in my bag with a few pens and when I have a moment I just pattern away......it's very relaxing and therapeutic.

When I finished her I drew a circle below her and added the word Dream. I detail cut out the design and put it onto the back ground.

I still have some words to add, but as those are more personal I took the photos before they were added.

Mark's stamps can be found at Chocolate Baroque HERE or in his shop HERE

Decoart Graffiti Tutorial Happy Easter

Morning all, thanks for stopping by, It's been a busy few weeks here and I am just back from Andy Skinner's Ministry Of Mixology retreat where Kate Crane and France Papillon taught a weekend of fantastic classes and I was there to lend a hand and teach one o the make and takes on the Saturday eve.
Such a fun weekend catching up with so many crafty friends and so much creativity under one roof always leads to a good weekend away.

Today though I am sharing a Graffiti style step by step tutorial on the Decoart Media Blog, I have used lots of Decoart Media products and the new Chalky Finish White Cream Wax along with various stencils. The main focus stencils are from a new Stencil book I picked up recently after seeing a FaceBook friend post about it, Details can be found on the Decoart post.
I hope to see some of you over there. For those of you that don't know about the media blog, you will be introduced to some amazing mixed media artists sharing their tutorial posts using the Decoart Products.

As always a huge thank you for stopping by.
xxx.
If you would like to follow me on FaceBook you can find me HERE.

Simon Says Stamp Monday challenge are having a Hip Hop challenge ;) x Now I know my entry is a little tongue in cheek but I have tried to keep it festive with my Jesus Graffiti and the links between hip hop culture and the Graffiti street scene lol x.

Stampendous! 31 Days of Halloween Blog Hop Door Hanger.

Morning all, I am back sharing a second make for Stampendous as they take part in the 31 Days of Halloween blog hop.

Stampendous Products Used:

Embossing Powder: Deep Impressions Seasonings

Other Items:
Tando Creative Door Hanger

Today I have decorated a door hanger from Tando-Creative using modeling paste through stencils to create texture and Media Fluids to add colour.

After a base coat of Tinting Base to give a nice clean white surface to work off of colour was added using greens and yellows to create a blended look some dashes of orange and purple were also applied for some contrast.

I applied the embossing powder around the edge randomly and on top of the raised areas to help add balance to the embossed Pentangle.

The Pentangle was gifted to me a few years ago from my crafty buddy Lisa, can't believe it's taken me this long to use it ;)  and thank you x
The Pentangle was dabbed into an embossing ink pad and the powder applied. I love the variation in tones and colour that the Stampendous aged embossing powders have.

The door hanger was finished with a coat of Triple Thick Varnish which gives a high gloss almost lacquer like finish. The pentagram was glued in place to finish things off.

Thanks as always for stopping by. Remember to check the stampendous blog for all the details of the 31 Days of Halloween blog hop, Stampendous have even put up a prize pack for those that comment throughout the hop xx.

De Stempelwinkel Silhouette Card

Morning all. I am not sure what has come over me but I have made another card for the De Stempelwinkel Blog, Now I am not a huge fan of cards normally but the last few have been somewhat fun to make, just changing up the traditional folded card makes quite a difference.
I decided to go for a more modern look and feel for this card and have used Decoart Media Fluids  along with Stencils from That's Crafty and Stamps from De Stempelwinkel

De Stempelwinkel - Imagine Wooden Canvas

Morning, With the weather starting to warm up and some sunny days I was feeling the summer colours a little and came up with this Hippy canvas using the Decoart Fluid Acrylics, Andy Skinner stencils and stamps from De Stempelwinkel.
This started out as a wooden box frame, 6"x6".
I started by painting the base white with a couple of coats of the Tinting base.
when dry I added a couple of drops of colour to the back of my pallet knife and swiped randomly across the base. when working like this I tend to start with my lighter colours first and then build up.
I used Hansa Yellow, Quinacridone Magenta, Pthalo Turquoise and Green Gold.I let each colour dry fully between coats.
Using Andy Skinners Hippy girl stencil I first stencilled in black Gesso, then moving the stencil over slightly I re stencilled with white Gesso. The decoart Gesso is brilliant for stencilling and can be tinted with the fluid acrylics if you wanted to stencil with colour.
I used the Designs By Ryn Hibiscus stamps, available from De Stempelwinkel for my stamping as they fit with the Hippy theme and the 'Imagine' sentiment was added gain using an Andy Skinner stencil. It just threw up images of John Lennon for me.

Thank you all for stopping by xx.
