Fun With ATC's - Magic

Ok so I am not quite sure how I keep managing to have 3 posts in a row and then nothing for the rest of the week but it would be a shame to stop that pattern now ;)
I have no idea where the time is going but we have started our new two week challenge over at Fun With ATC's the theme this time is Magic.
I have cut my ATC from mount board and I used it to mop up a little bit of the red Dylusions spray, It looked like a blood splatter so I knew I had to keep it. I decided to go for a sinister looking advertising poster type look.
I left the Bg of the ATC white and stamped on the One eyed Gent, he is from DE StempelWinkel they have so many brilliant and different stamps. I also thought the playing card and the mystic hand from Tim Holtz fitted right in as well so I made a mask of the chap, over stamped the card with coffee archival ink, I did the same thing making a mask of the card and over stamping both images with the Hand stamp using pumice stone Distress Ink.To finish I swiped the edges with Black Soot Distress Ink.
The Atc was then given 2 coats of clear Embossing powder. The letters for 'The Magician' are peel offs from Tim Holtz, to make sure they would not come off and to really make them part of the ATC I gave the whole thing a 3rd coating of embossing powder.

Of course we would all love to see you join us for this fortnights challenge, head on over to Fun With ATC's  to see what the rest of the DT have created for some inspiration. an ATC does not take that long does it? ;)

Thank you for stopping by x

  1. Hi Mark,

Great ATC! I definitely like the eye patch!

  2. Love the sinister feel to this ATC - wonderful collage of images with the number 13 card and one eyed magician - it has just the right amount of unease about it. Px

  3. Hi Mark, Paul is right it does have unease about it but technically it is brilliant and I do love the wording and that mystical hand in the background. Anne x

  4. Love how your magician looks a bit intimidating, Mark! Awesome ATC!

  5. He's so splendidly sinister... I strongly suspecting him of dabbling in the Dark Arts!! Really cool ATC...

  12. Loving that splatter too Mark - did you get it everywhere like at the Barn??
I love the image of that man he fits here perfectly. Sorry to be missing but our internet has proved a real pain but it seems finally to be good.

  13. Another awesome ATC! Thanks for sharing!

  14. Hi Mark,
Have to say really love your tag you did really cool. I'm trying to play caught up with everyone post. I kinda forgot about my blog and friends on here my bad. I plan on posting some layouts I did so far. Just have to take a picture of them to post on my blog. I might post a few videos of hauls I have done in the past couple of days. Not sure yet. Hope your week going well so far?

  15. Great masking job, Mark! It looks quite sinister indeed with the spatter. I think magicians are kinda creepy anyway. Love this. xxD
