Well after being up late enough last night, or early enough this morning to be one of the first on woyww, I find there is no mr linky thing. so I am now rather late in posting. dang it ;) want to know what I am talking about?? check out the Stamping Ground , the brain child of Julia Dunnit.
As you can see I have been playing with the alcohol inks again, I love these. I have also been splurging on distress dabber things. Im coming round to how good they really are.
I will be doing my best to get round as many blogs as poss, at least the people whos number ends in the same as mine and as many of the others as I can.
have a great week everyone. Mark
I am sure you will make amazing things with them, I lve dabbers! Have a great week hugs trace x

ReplyDeleteI would love to take credit but I bought it on ebay, I cant think of the guys details but he makes storage for all the Tim Holtz range, I also have the fold out storage box for the distress ink pads.

ReplyDeleteI always load up at midnight on Tuesday & Julia seems to link up close to 6 a.m. on the Wednesday although see has been as late as 8 but then I've left for work...I was so surprised to she her desk at midnight & like you thought bonus!...have a super crafting week :)

Hi, Mark, I think this might be my first visit to your blog, too. I should employ the "ending digit" method, too, to make sure I'm not just visiting the same folks every week. I have a handful of distress stains and find them very useful for covering tags -- is that what you're going to use your alcohol-inked pieces for? Happy WOYWW from Laura #109 (And thanks for already popping over to visit.)
ReplyDeleteI will probably be using them for some atc's and little detail pieces. i was experimenting with the colours as I needed a bright green and then got carried away lol
DeleteHi Mark, I was all set at 5:30 this morning for Julia only to find that she had posted at midnight - went for a quick cuppa, the link went up and I ended up as #30! I loved your post last night (thought it was your WOYWW post!) hope others go to see it too. Like your ink holder. Happy WOYWW, Anne #30
ReplyDeleteHow annoying to be ready to post and link and then find there is no Mr Linky.
ReplyDeleteNot sure where you are but if you like the Dabbers I suggest you try (they don't have dabber tops) the PaperArtsy Fresco Paints - they are absolutely fabulous - lovely finish to them and gorgeous colours. (not affiliated or anything just love those paints)
Hugs, Neet #59 x
lol, thanks, I have some of them tucked away in my draw. they are fab paints. I love their chalky texture.
DeleteHi Mark, your desk looks like it could get very colourful with all those paints and inks!! I like the AIs as well but I do get in a right state with them, same goes for the colorwash sprays. I have taken to wearing plastic gloves!! Thanks for popping by to see me, Cindy # 39 (yeah, no 39!! amazing!! Then I realised everyone else had been unable to link up LOL)
ReplyDeleteCongrats...a never ending story*lol* Nice third place with texture on Simons Says..yippiehh!! (:o)As i knew before ( but no one asked me) can i change my job to Trend - Scout now?*lol*

I am going to spurge on some dauber thingees and inks this weekend myself! Fun look at your crafting zone.
ReplyDeleteHowdy Mark,
ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW! Very neat and tidy desk.
Enjoy the alcohol inks. I love the dabbers - I put dabber tops on most of my acrylic paint bottles - very convenient!!!
Would love for you to stop by my blog - and take the poll while you're visiting.

ReplyDeleteLot's of inkyness going on! great colours! April#80
ReplyDeleteFor someone so new to crafting, you're doing jolly well!!! I'm intrigued by what is in the top left corner of the picture - a rectangle of white with black marks on....?
ReplyDeleteah, that is a pack of brads that has fallen down lol. all you can see are the backs holding them onto the packaging.. thanks for stopping by.
ReplyDeleteHmmmm, Distressed Dabbers sounds like an artist's group that needs therapy!!! I'm sure they're handy for something, but as a non stamper, I haven't a clue what for!
ReplyDeleteHugs, LLJ #1 xx
I am new to the blending tool for the distress inks. I'm not sure I'm ready to venture into the dabber things but they sure do look fun. Your desk looks like a happy place to play.
ReplyDeleteLovely lot of dabbers etc - lots of interesting crafty goodies there - thanks for sharing your interesting workspace - Hazel WOYWW #82 x
ReplyDeleteI think I have some daubers and thought they were something else so now I have to go see what kind of a mess I can make up with 'em! Thanks for letting us peek at your workspace...looks inka-licious! ;)
ReplyDeleteDeeyll #161
I love the colours you are using. There are so many things I discover when travelling around the blogs. Alcohol inks and dabbers, sound really interesting,
ReplyDeleteall I know are paints and ink pens. Do you use the ink straight from the bottle with a brush or do you drop it on (excuse my ignorance) and let it soak in?
Von#83
Ohh you have a great collection of dabbers and Distress inkers. I have only just started playing with them and think I am going to have to buy a few. Just when you think you have all the product you need!!
ReplyDeleteSandra 85
I'm horribly late, but so what!! Yeah Mark, I use the Distress stains way more than the ink pads now, they make a lot more 'sense' to me...
ReplyDeleteSorry about the Linky last week, I could see it....not that is any help of course!!
Oh I have 1 poor little dabber in my collection but more are zooming my way as I type :) I wanted to see what they where like as everyone says they are so good and after using it woot great stuff. Sandy :)
ReplyDeleteI missed a blog deadline once too, and was very annoyed too. I forgot they were in a completely different time zone from mine -LOL! Anyway, I enjoyed reading your philosophy on Art and agree that the process is so much more important. It's the feelings you put into it that counts. Blessings!
