WARNING - Not For Everyone ;) Haunted Design House - Going Green Brett Weldele style

So is everyone making the most of their long weekend? Now I know this little post won't be for some of you so just skip past ;)
It's the first Monday of the month and this means it is time to get your creep on over at Haunted Design House.
The theme this month is 'Going Green' and this can be interpreted in any way you like (just keep it creepy/gothic) ;)
I first saw this stamp set from Bret Weldele at the Stitches trade show in Feb and new I had to have it when it hit the shops, since then I have been itching to use it as I am a huge zombie and horror fan as well as a massive comic book fan, It's well worth checking out Brett's art.
Can you tell I'm a fan?
Ok, back to the challenge at hand, Obviously my green is my little zombie, but you can create something using re cycled products, we love to see people thinking outside the box.
I started with a Tando-Creative Mixed Media Board and coated it with white acrylic paint.
I added washes of several greens to get a base colour and stamped the zombie with archival ink.

I used Phthalo Blue and a tiny bit of Dioxadine Purple  around the edge to help frame my zombie, I also watered down the Phthalo Blue to paint the jacket and some watered down Burnt Orange.  Some  hi lights were added with white and a little blood was added to the teeth, I also added the barb wire crown.
The alphabet stamp set is from De Stempelwinkel, I was almost done here but it just did not feel finished.

I decided to tone the bg down a little with some Transparent Yellow Oxide, masked the zombie off and used the Media Acrylic Misters to add my blood splatters, The joker was not standing out enough so it was re stamped with embossing ink and some Frantage embossing bowder was added. Finally the edges were distressed with black archival ink and a couple of coats of Satin Varnish were added.
All the painty products used are from the Decoart Media Line.

Thanks for stopping by, we would love to see you join us over at Haunted Design House you have a whole month to take part.
