New Class Project Pitted Tin

Well, my blog is like waiting for a bus at the mo, nothing for ages and then three posts pop up all together ;)
If you follow me on FaceBook you may have seen me share a little tease and test piece for a new technique I have been playing around with. It's a pitted tin faux finish and the sample for my March 4th class at Daisy Jewels and Crafts in Coventry.
I am also in Telford on March 5th at Crafty Bunch Class project to be confirmed x.

Plenty of messy fun with the Decoart Media line and lots of Andy Skinner Stampendous Stamps and Carabelle Studio stamps to finish of an Industrial Chic style Grunge container ideal for all your lose pens, pencils and crafting smalls xx

Thanks as always for stopping by. And hopefully I will see some of you on the road in 2017.

I would like to enter my Shabby/Grungy box into a couple of challenges.x

Frilly and Funkie are having a Vintage or Shabby Chic challenge at the mo.

Altered Eclectics are having an Anything Goes Altered art/Mixed Media challenge running.

Stampendous Andy Skinner New Stamps

Happy New Year all.
Ok, now I know we are nearly two weeks into Jan but it's been a slow start mojo wise and I am just getting back into the swing of things after an amazing crafty  2016.

Today is just a quick post as I have just got y hands on the new Andy Skinner Stamps, they should be in the stores very soon ;)
For my first play I grabbed a 4 inch canvas board and gave it a base coat of a green I mixed up using the Decoart Fluid Acrylics and the Media Tinting Base.

Anyone that knows me will know of my love of skulls and all things slightly (totally) horrible so to my delight when I got hold of some of the new Andy Skinner stamps ;)
The skull was stamped with Stazon ink and the skull was painted using watered down, Transparent Yellow Oxide and Quinacridone Gold, a little Titanium White for the Teeth and some Pyrrole Red for the nose.
I made a mask using the skull stamp to protect the image and the back ground was stamped with Andy's Scratch BG stamp and some Decoart Media Fluids.
The word Fear was stamped across the skull and the edges were distressed with some Stazon Ink.

Stay tuned, I will be back soon with some new Pics for a new workshop with a new Pitted Tin finish. xx
