Lots going on Round Up Post Magazines, workshops and Day Of The Dead Seating ;)

Sorry it's been a little while, it's been a whirlwind the last month or so.
I thought I had better do a little (not so little) round up of what's been going on and what I have been working on.
Warning, Picture heavy.

First up I was given the amazing opportunity to create a Decoart  feature project for Craft Stamper Magazine for their April edition, now they may issue is out I can share my project on my blog.
I have used Decoart Media fluids and Americana Decor Chalky Finish paints along with some of Andy Skinners new Stampendous Stamps and lots of  stamps from Carabelle Studio's.
A huge thank you to Trish and the team as well as Decoart for the opportunity x.

Sticking with some chalk paints I wanted to try a colour that I wouldn't normally be a go to colour so I broke out the Decoart Chalky Finish Inheritance and sanded back for a distressed look. Finished with Satin Varnish and some Day of the Dead fabric.

Told you it was a long post ;-)
I kicked of my crafty teaching year this month starting at Andy Skinner and Tando-Creative's Ministry of Mixology retreat at the beginning of the month.

I helped out on Andy's Saturday workshop and was one of the demonstrators for the saturday night doing make and takes, I was working with the chalk paints and we made several different technique tags.
I also painted up this bottle using more of Andy's new Stamps chalky finish paint and washes of Media Fluids.

We even used Stampendous's Stamp n Bond to add some gold leaf.

Such a good event, Thank you to Andy and Di for having me along, great to see so many of you from blog land and facebook in the flesh and making new friends like Graig from CHA. I even got to play on the Sunday in Kate Crane's workshop.
A selection of Andy's kits ate available from Tando-Creative.

Thanks Kate for a great class. was great to finally meet up with you in person. It was such a fun day crafting on Sunday as I got to hang out with one of my oldest crafting friends and fellow Haunted Design House DT member Helen. lovely to spend the day chatting and painting.

Last weekend I was at That's Crafty  in Essex teaching my Mixed Media Paint Caddy class using one of their new kits. they have stacking storage crates with different inserts for the different sizes of paint pots misters etc.

More Decoart Media Fluids, some Carabelle Studio stamps and more Stampendous Stamp n Bond.

As I write this post I am just about ready to head off in the morning for the Mixed Media Mayhem retreat held by Rowan Tree Crafts in Cumbria where I will be holding 2 workshops. My Mixed Media ATC and storage class and y Alice In Wonderland Fat Book.
These kits are available from That's Crafty.

And finally, If you are still awake I will have my first article in Making Cards Magazine that hits the shelves this Friday (May edition).
Thank you Sally and the team for asking me to create some cards. I have 3 cards with a little step by step.

Thank you for stopping by and thank you for sticking with this mammoth post.
You can find me on Facebook HERE, I,m a little more up to date with my crafty goings on there. xx
