bottle progressI
Hi happy friday.I have added a base for the bottles to stand on, Im going to try and make a flame thrower looking thing,I cut some wood to shape and covered the top surface with the diamond plate embossing folder design and used the tim holtz on the edge fleur de lis die to give an ornate surround. i have then painted it with the same copper effect as the x box face. I am quite liking that technique at the moment.
Since yesterday I've added a dark wash over the bottles just to give them a duller look, they were looking too new even with the chips and pits.
These finishes were all part of Andy Skinners Time worn Techniques on line course.
This weekend I have to make a card for my mums Birthday on Monday. have fun.

What's next
Ok, so here is what I am going to play with next, I already have the idea in my head, more pics soon.
Right here we have my finished project for Andy Skinners on line work shop 'time worn techniques' that has just finished, I have spent the last 8 weeks learning several new techniques for making things look like aged metals. It has been an amazing class with great people and can I not recommend it highly enough.
Its down to the people on the course that I have started this blog, so thank you very much, you know who you are ;)
I know have the bit firmly between my teeth and have started a couple of other projects, pics coming soon.
Now I really must get on and make a birthday card for me mum.

x box make over
right this is the start, I will get a better flow to all this and try to make things make sense. till then, this is something i worked on today, the technique used was learnt in the Andy Skinner work shop. I wanted to see how the paint would work on plastic surfaces and i wanted to tart up my x box, now i need to find time to finish the rest of the machine.
Hi and welcome to spesh ink. This is a crafting blog created by someone new to the crafts world with no back ground in art.
in this blog I plan on sharing pictures of projects/cards that I have made just to show you do not have to be a professional to have some fun and achieve an end result you can be happy with.
